continues the tale of the orphaned boy wizard who attends Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft and wizardry. The story begins where the previous two novels have: at Privet Drive, the home of Harry’s aunt and uncle, and a house that is firmly situated in the Muggle (non-magic) world.

As Harry’s understanding about the wizarding world continues to grow so does the reader’s; both learn about magic, witchcraft and spells simultaneously – the readers are never ahead of Harry in understanding how the events are unfolding or how the various actions will affect the ending of the novel.
