(1949) – Schoolboys on Mars find themselves participants in a full scale rebellion to establish the political independence of the Mars colony from the colonial authority on distant Earth and to establish a working relationship with the planet’s powerful natives. Heinlein’s Martians are among his most engaging creations, and they provided the inspiration for the Martians of
Stranger In a Strange Land(1961).
