“Home” is a broadsheet commission written by John Lent for Greenboathouse Press, a small publisher of chapbooks, noted for their design-conscious production work and frequently for the literary merit and experimentalism of their chapbooks. The poem was commissioned “as a (late) New Year’s greeting” for presentation to those who have supported the Press.
“Home” is a five stanza 39 line poem in an edition of 100 signed copies. The production is of an extremely high quality: a 66cm deep and 16cm wide, high rag content paper is folded vertically as a cover for the poem within, which is printed on quality Zerkell Ingres paper. The typeset is Bembo & Centaur. This is a visually and physically sensuous broadsheet.
