Otro Mundo es Posible:
Poetry, Dissidence and Reality TV(2003) was written for National Poetry Day 2003. It was published in a limited edition 12 page pamphlet of 2,500 copies, with cover art by the Scottish artist and writer, Alasdair Gray. The polemic is based in part on Burnside’s English course in Literature and Ecology at St. Andrews University and in part on Burnside’s lengthy and various career as a poet:

Feast Days(1992),
The Myth of the Twin(1994),
Swimming in the Flood(1995),
A Normal Skin(1999),
The Asylum Dance(2000), and
The Light Trap(2002). Burnside writes for and on behalf of a physically, psychologically and politically inclusive environmentalism.
