The manuscript preserves a version of the so-called “lexicon of Cyril”, a Greek dictionary initially compiled in Alexandria during the 6th century AD, which is nonetheless preserved today in over 200 manuscripts and in more than 8 different versions (see Schulz 1924; Drachmann 1936; Latte 1953: XLΙV-LI; Cunningham 2003; Valente 2019: 249-50; Papanikolaou 2020). The Viennese manuscript preserves a version of the so-called “Lexicon of Cyril”, which was last signified as the “n family” by Kurt Latte [1953: XLVII-XLVIII]: according to Latte, the family consists also of other manuscripts of the dictionary, like the Deventriensis 1798, the Messanensis San Salvatore 167, and manuscript which provides the fullest specimen of this family of the “Lexicon of Cyril”, Bodl. auct.
