The

Lexeis of the Octateuch

is a medieval-era lexicon of difficult Koine expressions and hebraisms in the ancient Greek translations of the Old Testament. The lexicon is found mostly in manuscripts also containing the lexicon of Cyril, a dictionary to which the Lexeis of the Octateuch is strongly associated (see Drachmann 1936: 54-55, no.6; Benediktsson 1938; Hunger 1978: 37 with n.24; Latte 1953: XLV with n.3).

The full title of the lexicon (as preserved into the manuscripts) ascribes the Lexeis of the Octateuch to a certain (and otherwise unknown) grammarian Stephanos, who cannot be identified at the moment with any other grammarian known by that name (see Benediktsson 1938: 257 with Greek text in p. 261).
