Writer of a grammatical treatise entitled Ἀπορίαι καὶ λύσεις (
QuestionsandSolutions), compiled sometime during the later antiquity (5th-6th cent. AD.; see discussions in Schmidt 1862: clxxxvii; Reitzenstein 1897: 351-360; Cohn 1907a: 1072; Dyck 1983-1995: 1. 31). The treatise was organised in the form of “question and answer” and was concerned with solutions to the difficult morphological features of certain (mostly Homeric) words; the treatise also included etymological observations justifying the morphology of each word under discussion. The title of Eulogius’ treatise was preserved in the
Etymologicum Magnum(
