Andrea Camilleri is one of the most successful and prolific among contemporary Italian authors. His work is heavily experimental in language as well as narrative structure and often deals with important or controversial political, historical and social topics. Camilleri’s literary production is exceptionally varied, and he publishes on average three to four books a year.
