Germany. Two of his works have already been praised with the singular title “

Schulze was born in Dresden in 1962, where he lived with his mother until passing the Abitur (baccalaureate examination taken at the end of secondary school) in 1981. Upon completion of compulsory service in the East German National People’s Army, he studied classical philology at the University of Jena (1983-88), after which he spent two years as dramaturge at the Regional Theater in Altenburg, Thuringia. It was during his stay here that the momentous events of 1989, culminating in the fall of the Berlin Wall, unfolded. Soon thereafter, he quit his post at the theater to found
