(1981), are markers of her very successful career as an English-Canadian playwright. Established first in radio drama and in theatre for young audiences, Lambert’s career took off with the publication of her adult stage plays,

Sqrieux-De-Dieu

(1975),

Clouds of Glory

(1980),

Jennie’s Story

and

Under the Skin

(1985). A pioneer in her treatment of such controversial subjects as rape, racism, and sexual violence, Lambert’s plays reflect the emergence of a new feminist phase in Canadian theatre. Involved for several decades with CBC radio in Vancouver, Lambert also wrote plays for young audiences which were produced at Joy Coghill’s Holiday…
