Born in Athens in 1928, Titos Patrikios is considered one of the most important Greek poets of the 20th century. Son of the actor Spiros and the actress Lela Patrikios, Titos Patrikios graduated from Varvakeios School in 1946 and immediately embarked on his studies in Law at the University of Athens, practicing law after his graduation for a short period. His constant presence in the backstage of theatres has helped form his independent spirit, mirrored later in his life choices and poetry, while his fascination with the costumes, dialogues and the general artistic atmosphere of the theatre has brought him close to literature from a very early age.
