Christopher Hugh Gair

Christopher Gair is a Senior Lecturer in English and American Studies and Head of English Literature at the University of Glasgow, Scotland (See profile). He is the author of Complicity and Resistance in Jack London’s Novels: From Naturalism to Nature (1997), The American Counterculture (2007) and The Beat Generation (2008) and editor of Beyond Boundaries: C.L.R. James and Postnational Studies (2006). He has edited editions of Stephen Crane’s Maggie: a Girl of the Streets (2000) and Jack London’s South Sea Tales (2002) and is editor of Symbiosis: a Journal of Transatlantic Literary and Cultural Relations.
