Sonia García de Alba Lobeira

Sonia García de Alba Lobeira is currently a PhD student at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg specializing in medieval romance and emotions. She graduated from an MSc in Medieval Literatures and Cultures at the University of Edinburgh (2018) and then worked as a lecturer in Medieval Spanish Literature at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico (2019). Her research interests include the portrayal of the Otherworld and the Supernatural in medieval texts and how these are experienced by characters and readers. She is also interested in contemporary reimaginings of the medieval in modern fantasy and has previously worked with Merlinian prophetic texts.
