My research focuses on postcolonial North African and French literature and transcolonial affiliations among writers and intellectuals from the Global South. My first book project, “Transcolonial Maghreb: Imagining Palestine in the Era of Revolutions,” analyzes the representation of Palestine in Moroccan, Algerian, and Tunisian literary works from the 1960s to the present. I am currently developing a second book project, which charts the emergence of the Palestinian question in France, both in political and intellectual discourses and in artistic works. With Teresa Villa-Ignacio, I am editing an English-language anthology of texts from Souffles-Anfas, and have an article on Souffles-Anfas and Palestine in PMLA 128.2 (2013).
