Russell Kenneth Blackford

Russell Blackford teaches in the School of Philosophy and Bioethics at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and works as a freelance writer, editor, and reviewer. He is editor-in-chief of an interdisciplinary on-line journal, The Journal of Evolution and Technology, an editorial consultant to Science Fiction Studies, and a currently a frequent reviewer for Cosmos magazine and The New York Review of Science Fiction.

He is the author of many books, short stories, philosophical and literary articles, and other publications.

Much of his work is focused on the implications of science and the future of humanity, including the way science and the future are represented in science fiction literature and cinema.
