Markus Hiltl

After having studied at the universities of Regensburg, Marburg and Paris (Sorbonne), I passed my Staatsexamen for Lehramt Gymnasium at the University of Marburg in German History and English literature (2001). I then returned to Paris where I started working as I English teacher in a French Lycée. In 2006 I completed my Masters degree in English literature at the University of the Sorbonne under the direction of Professor François Gallix on Beryl Bainbridges factional works.I passed the Agrégation in 2006 and I am since that time working as a teacher at a Parisian Lycée and at the Catholic University of Paris. Besides some articles for the Literary encyclopedia, I participated in the writing of an introduction to English literature for French students. I am currently finishing my thesis on Beryl Bainbridges writings.
