Paul Cavill

Dr Paul Cavill was Lecturer in Early English in the School of English at the University of Nottingham until September 2020. He has published widely on Old English literature and English place-names, including books Maxims in Old English Poetry (Cambridge 1999) and The Christian Tradition in Anglo-Saxon England (Cambridge 2004). He is currently working on The Battle of Brunanburh and its traditions in the medieval period.
